Broadcast Radio Encoder Professional Edition 1.6.1 Radio Automation Software Full Unlimited License
Broadcast.Radio Streaming:
- Adds support for streaming to the new broadcast radio streaming infrastructure which is a new distributed streaming platform that Broadcast Radio is building and rolling out.
- The free edition of this BR encoder software now allows you to encode to the new streaming broadcast radio based servers as well as the older streaming broadcast radio servers.
- You can now easily configure BR Encoder using a brstream file which you will recieve whenever you setup a new streaming account with Broadcast Radio. This contains all the information needed to configure the Encoder without having to manually enter any details.
Stream connection:
- The server details section of Encoder settings has been updated to allow you to use streaming broadcast radio or streaming broadcast radio with the free edition of the Broadcast Radio Encoder.
- A warning has been added if you are using the older Broadcast Radio Player as this platform has now been replaced by the newer for information on transitioning to the new platform.
Other changes:
- The interface has been slightly updated to give a more modern look and feel to bring it in line with other Broadcast Radio products.
Remote control via REST:
- The Encoder REST API is now available via Swagger
- There is a new link on the Help menu in the Monitor to open the Swagger UI webpage.
- The Encoder REST API now returns 404 not found errors if the Encoder reference cannot be found when updating Now Playing information. This is so that the status on Myriad OCP and similar products can show you if your configuration is mismatched.
Stream connection:
- The source "user agent" string has been updated to include the version of the Broadcast Radio Encoder encoder.
New Features/Changes:
- Stereo Tool: The Encoder now comes with the Stereo Tool plugin ready for use, and you just install it using the interactive mode.
- My Station: Added the ability to send now playing updates to MyStation by Broadcast Radio. You set this in the Encoder settings window by entering the API key from the MyStation "Playout Integration" page.
- When running the encoder service in interactive mode, there is now a browse button to make it easier to get straight to the VST Plugins folder.
- Some internal changes to better support connecting to the Encoder Service using IPv6 Addresses.
Main Features:
Components:
The Encoder is split into 2 parts - the Encoder Monitor and the Encoder Service. The Service is the software that does all of the audio capture, processing, encoding and sending to the Icecast Streaming servers. The Monitor is used to display and configure the Service.
Because the Encoder is a Service this means that it can run even when the computer is logged off. The Monitor is also capable of being run over the network so you can monitor the Encoder from any connected network PC.
Available Editions:
- Free: This edition is for Broadcast Radio streaming customers and can encode a single stream to a Broadcast Radio streaming server.
- Standard: This edition is for Broadcast Radio streaming customers and can encode a single stream to a primary and secondary Broadcast Radio streaming server.
- Professional: This edition allows multiple encoders, and each encoder can send to multiple Icecast Servers.
VST Plugins (all editions):
- You can install a single VST Plugin into "c:\Programdata\BroadcastRadio\Profiles\Profile1\Encoder v1\Plugins\Vst" and each encoder will automatically use this Plugin.
- Only v2.4 VST Plugins are supported.
- To configure the settings for the Plugin, stop the Encoder Service using the Services Control Panel, and then run "c:\Program Files (x86)\Broadcast Radio\Encoder v1\Service\BrEncoderService1.exe /r" - this will run the Encoder service in 'interactive' mode which allows access to the VST Plugin's user interface.
