Mividi Video Wall Multiview Monitoring System Professional (PATCHED) 2.9.8756.18117

The Mividi WSM120 provides a low-cost multiviewer monitoring solution for Internet streaming video. It supports IPTV, and OTT video services using HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTMP (Flash) protocols, and Internet-based video transport using SRT and RTSP streaming. It can also monitor uncompressed video via SDI, HDMI, or NDI interfaces. It can be used for live broadcasts as well as VOD monitoring.

Internet Streaming Video Monitoring Solution

Mividi WSM120 is a multiviewer monitoring system for IPTV and Internet streaming video services. It supports the most common IPTV and Internet Streaming media protocols including UDP, RTP, HTTP, HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), MPEG-DASH, RTMP, RTSP, and MMS. It supports SRT, NDI, and uncompressed video via SDI and HDMI interfaces.

The system provides a real-time view of multiple video services coming from different streaming servers. Streams with different streaming protocols can be monitored at the same time. It can simultaneously display up to 60 SD or 30 HD video services using a single computer. Additionally, the system supports video rotation when more video displays are needed.

The system can monitor live broadcasts and VOD streaming services. Hundreds of VOD streams can be bundled together, and the monitoring software will request the VOD services using their playlist URLs one by one, decode them, and display the videos. The test can be looped around, and visual alarms are triggered when the video streaming service is interrupted.

The system displays video content and audio VU bars and calculates the audio loudness level. It is built on standard PCs or servers using Windows 7, 10, or Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, or 2019. Mividi supplies fully built systems or software that can be installed on customers’ own hardware. Setting up such a monitoring system is very low-cost, and it is easy to use and maintain.

Flexible Multiviewer Display

The WSM120 supports a multiviewer display of videos and audio PCM levels of IPTV or Internet video streaming services. It also calculates audio loudness and displays the loudness value along with video images. Additionally, the system can decode and display DVB subtitles and ATSC closed captioning data.

Each monitoring system can support up to four monitoring panels for multi-image display using graphic card features. The display panels can be configured in terms of size and location. A selected video can also be displayed in full-screen mode, along with sound output. Audio-only program display is also supported.

The system uses an IP interface to receive transport stream input. It can simultaneously monitor many different streams and supports the most common streaming protocols.

Live Broadcast and VOD Monitoring

The Mividi WSM120 supports both live broadcast and VOD monitoring. To play live broadcast video, simply map a URL to a display panel. When more than one URLs are mapped to a display panel, the system will start to rotate among multiple streams. Similarly, multiple VOD stream URLs can be mapped to one display panel and VOD streams can be played in turn. When all VOD streams are finished, they can be replayed in an infinite loop.

The system supports MPEG-2, AVC (H.264), and HEVC (H.265) video encoding formats, as well as commonly used audio formats including MP3, AAC, AAC plus, and AC3. It supports ATSC closed captioning and DVB subtitles. When there are multiple audio streams present in a program, users can select specific audio streams to display.

The system supports multiviewer screen capture and can encode and stream the capture to a remote location using HTTP or RTP protocols for network-wide monitoring.

Stream Error Monitoring

The software can detect the following stream errors to alert users:

  • Loss of input streams
  • Loss of video or audio component
  • The drop of video or audio frames
  • Black and frozen video frames
  • The audio loudness level is out of user user-specified bound

Visual, Email, and SMS Alarm

The system provides visual, sound, email, and SMS alarms on the loss of input stream, or missing audio and video components. The visual alarm is shown as the red flashing boundary of a display panel with audio sound. The email alarm can be configured using a standard SMTP mail server. The SMS messages require access to a local SMS service provider.

Remote Multiviewer Monitoring

The Video Wall display panel can be captured and streamed for remote view so that users can see the multiviewer screen from home or a remote office. Video streaming uses one of the following three protocols: UDP, RTP, and HTTP. The streaming video can be viewed in a remote location using a streaming video player that plays UDP, RTP, or HTTP videos, such as the VLC Player or a TV Set-top box.
